About Us

IMWA, The Indigenous Mission of West Africa, is an interdenominational Christian mission organization based in The Gambia.

IMWA’s vision is to reach the unreached people groups in The Gambia and in the sub-region of West Africa.

Every Christian is a Missionary, Every Christian is called to participate in the evangelization of the lost! (Gen 12:4 and Matt 28:19). God is on a mission and we are on a mission with God! We are missionaries to our own People!

"A lady gave her life to Christ and as a result of that her husband divorced her and wanted to forcefully take away their two children from her who were minors. He requested that the children be handed over to the relatives while he was residing outside the country.
IMWA stepped in and it became a court case, for two (2) years and to the glory of God IMWA won the case and today her children are with her and she is still a Christian."
"A woman gave her life to Christ and as a result, she was kidnapped and locked up by her family members for about four months.
The case finally became a police case, thank God she finally escaped and ran to IMWA for shelter and safety, and she is safe today and growing strong in the Lord."
"A brother gave his life to Christ and was forcefully evicted from his home and disowned by his family members. He was completely banned from the family compound.
By the grace of God through IMWA’s support he has remarried and settled with his new family. He is doing well in the Lord."
